A "ghost job" is a posting that isn't really hiring. One of the strongest signals that a role is real is a verified employer behind it.

We can't promise every other posting is a ghost — plenty of legitimate roles come through aggregators. But a verified badge means a real company, a real contact, and a role we can hold accountable if it goes quiet.

• Favor verified employers when the roles look otherwise equal.
• Watch for postings that have been "open" for many weeks with no updates.
• If a role stops responding, log it — our community ghost reports warn the next applicant.
